Super Hexagon is a cool game, with cool graphics and music, but it is SO FRUSTRATING!! You wont understand the WORD frustrating until you play Super Hexagon. So go buy it. Now. For me. Oh and the image above shows my frustration at Super Hexagon.

For those of you who don’t have a maxed out PC to play games with, here is one of my favorite Wii games! This post is also due to me squeezing all of the awesome out of my red Wii in anticipation of the Wii U. For those who want a blast to the past with great graphics and gameplay, this is the game for you. This Donkey Kong Country installment plays a lot like the older donkey kong games. The settings are very diverse, starting with a lush jungle, continuing with a tar-flooded fossil dig site, and ending with a smoke-choked factory. Those are only a couple of the many settings in the game. The boss battles are intense, with one wrong move dealing you a game over. There are many interesting mechanics to use to beat the game including blowing, rolling, shooting, flying, falling, and banging on the floor. I love this game, it’s probably my most played game on the Wii.

Terraria is a cool side scrolling adventure/rpg/building game. You can customize your character by tweaking colors for hair, skin, and clothes. You can choose either large, small, or medium sized world to generate. The world generates with small dungeons, a main dungeon, floating islands with locked chests on them, and just normal terrain. The biomes in it are forest (which you usually spawn in), desert, jungle, corruption, and many more. Corruption is interesting because if you leave it alone it will spread endlessly. There are ores underground in the world that you must mine to get farther, there are npcs ready to sell you things or help you along, there are ENDLESS amounts of swords, guns, clothing, armor, and blocks to build with. If you journey enough, you will most likely see a slime or other enemy, slimes and zombies being the most common. This game is rich with excitement, adventure, and creativity. And for those who just want to mow down enemies with humongous guns and chainsaws, there are random attacks of goblins, snowmen, and above all the BLOOD MOON. So journey into the world of Terraria and have fun!

This week’s video game is Portal 2! Even though it came out a while ago, Portal 2 is still an amazing game. Sequels are usually not as good as there predecessor but Portal 2 is much better than the first Portal. It has very great graphics, a more advanced plot than Portal 1 and the character development is great for both Wheatley and GLaDOS. The cut scenes are dynamic and cool, with whole rooms swinging and crashing, turrets singing, and idiots being ejected into space. It even delves deeper into the secrets behind the ratman and GLaDOS, inuding a full length comic book about the ratman. All in all, this is an amazing game and if you are thinking of getting a game or gifting one, maybe get this one.

I have gone onto MANY gaming sites, forums, Zelda dungeon, and many others and I always see the same thing when they try to pick the best Zelda game. It’s always, Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and Link to the Past. Really?!?! I don’t have anything against any of those games, I actually like them quite a bit and I understand that they were the first Zelda games to have good plots (Zelda’s Adventure DOES NOT COUNT) and OoT was the first 3D Zelda game but I think the best Zelda game is OBVIOUSLY….                                                                                                         … The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It has such emotion in the gameplay and the characters are very well developed. There is the Twilight, which turn you into a wolf which is awesome, Midna is the best sidekick I have seen and better than Fi (Skyward Sword), although I do like that Fi is an emotionless scientist. Twilight Princess also is much darker than any of the other Zelda games, earning it a Teen rating. Of course, this is all my opinion, and you can choose your favorite, but I still think that Twilight Princess is by far the best zelda game ever made.
